In vista del suo esordio in Conference League, David De Gea ha rilasciato alcune dichiarazioni ai microfoni di Sky. L`estremo difensore ha sottolineato l`importanza della partita:

Riguardo alla domanda se la Fiorentina possa essere considerata una delle favorite del torneo, De Gea ha espresso una visione cauta:
“A mio avviso, quest`anno ci sono squadre più competitive rispetto alla passata stagione, con diverse formazioni di alto livello. Tuttavia, la gara di oggi riveste un`importanza fondamentale per noi: è l`occasione per riscattare un avvio stentato e conquistare i tre punti.”
